We have lots of exciting announcements to make, so we’re forgoing our regular features in order to fill you in on all the changes that have been happening behind the scenes at OmMama.

First of all, Mary Jo and I were truly touched by all the emails and phone calls we received after announcing that we were suspending classes to go on “maternity leave” for the summer. So many in fact, that we looked really hard at our plans for taking time off this summer. That, combined with a little “push” from our business advisors, led to the following decision:

We are pleased to announce we will continue with only a slightly reduced schedule of classes over the summer! Please read on for further details:

New Location for OmMama Classes

Starting the week of July 7th, and until we open our new maternity center, OmMama’s classes will be housed at the Lewis Ginter Recreation Association Community Building at 3421 Hawthorne Avenue in Richmond’s Northside. We are excited to have as our temporary quarters this historic community center - built in 1906 - that has launched several successful ventures, including both Orchard House and Seven Hills Middle Schools. Registration & Scheduling

We will keep essentially the same schedule of Prenatal and Baby & Me classes over the summer.

In the coming days, registration forms will be available for download on our website, www.ommama.com. You will be able to register and pay for classes on the website, by phone, or in person. We will send out an announcement as soon as all systems are in place.

First Class Free in July

Your first class in our new location is free during the month of July. Just mention the promotional code: LGRA Kickoff Class when registering.

Scholarships

In keeping with our mission to provide classes to as broad a cross-section of the community as possible, we will offer a limited number of scholarships for Prenatal and Baby & Me classes. Scholarship forms will also be available for download from our website.

The Pregnancy Connection Directory

We are continuing to work on The Pregnancy Connection Directory, and hope to launch to the general public in early July. To preview and get a feel for the structure of the site, please visit The Pregnancy Connection Directory.

We would love to populate this directory with your recommendations for businesses, services, and practices that have benefited you. Please send your suggestions, with as much contact information as possible, to info@ommama.com with PC Directory in the subject line.
